I’m In Love, Love, Love… And #RichardArmitage Sure Better Be!

hamish

Hi, my name is Hamish, and my mom is smitten…

I AM in love… with this little guy! *Oops, I did it again*… I brought home a new kitten. Who happens to be on my shoulder as I type, purring lovingly. I needed another cat like I needed a hole in the head, but gah! Hamish! It was just Love, Love, Love… mutual, and at first sight!)

And I’m practically purring with excitement, too! Please God let speculations be true about Richard Armitage appearing Off Broadway in Love, Love, Love this fall… because I may or may not have up and booked tickets for it.

WhatAnd therefore I may or may not be certifiably insane, since it’s not yet confirmed. (Don’t tell Hubby that part!) LOL

But let me just take a moment and have a little celebratory dance, because it is starting to look like an exciting fall for those of the Armitage persuasion! Bye, bye, Richard Armitage Drought! Between Berlin Station installments, a possible Brain on Fire release, and (*crosses fingers*) Live Theatre in New York…. WOW! I wonder if it’s too early to start pestering Digital Theatre… ?!

red mohawk

It’s pretty edgy… and I actually love it!

Speaking of the Armitage Drought conditions, I’ve been totally MIA in Armitageworld for quite a long while. While I’ve been gone, this happened… Young Love received the promised red mohawk in return for losing the rat-tail!

May was just ridiculously busy on the veterinary front, then we took the kids to glorious Colorado.

Ah, Colorado. My favorite place to be.

So I was in Colorado when the Alice movie came out… and I haven’t seen it yet. Not sure whether I want to, at least in theaters. As lovely as I’m sure his several minutes will be… I’m not really enough of a Tim Burton admirer to have a big interest.

BUT, I was also in Colorado when RA started tweeting hints about the suspected Mid-Life Crisis project (a British comedy!? RA playing guitar and possibly maybe hopefully oh dear Lord… singing?) An orgasmic YES to all of that, please!!

OK… that’s all the time I have for now! I may come back with a few pics from our Colorado trip in another post. But I’ll leave you with the best of the bunch…

Loved your post! Congrats on the tickets, I hope he’s in the play so you can write a review! I know what you mean about the little kitty, I just brought another little guy home too. He’s black with a white stripe between the eyes so he’s named Bandit (since my daughter refused to let me name him Sir Guy – she says she won’t enable my addiction).

Congratulations on your new baby… the right kitten is just irresistible sometimes. That’s all there is to it. =) I’m truly excited about the play… if it turns out he’s in something else, I’m going to have to die laughing at myself after this big rush to become a theatre donor and all that. NOTE TO ALL THEATRE MANAGEMENT… if you need a quick influx of cash… drop hints that Richard Armitage will be starring in one of your productions… *snickers*

Congrats on everything — an orange cat (my fave) a red headed kid (he looks adorable) and tkts.) We missed you.

Yeah, I love orange kitties, too. My first kitten ever was an orange tabby, so they have a special place in my heart. And Hamish is just too cool for school. LOL. The red headed kiddo is likewise. =) He received compliments left and right from strangers all over Colorado- quite the ego boost. I can foresee him wanting colored hair every summer. As to the tickets… I sure hope congratulations are in order, rather than condolences. =)

I think you’re very safe with the tickets. I hope so, or soon, I’ll be in the same boat as you. I’m waiting on a friend with a subscription.

Awesome! I hope we’re in the celebratory boat, and not the #facepalm boat!

Ditto on the ginger cat love–and Hamish, what a sweetheart he is! You’re giving me kitten lust! In my experience the ginger boys have the nicest, gentlest temperament. Our Jerome always has the vet’s office gushing over him 🙂

I have the same experience… (as a general cat lover and also as a vet!)… the mellow yellow boys. You know- kitten lust is real, and it is contagious. One of my employees found a fluffy tabby maybe 5 weeks old by the side of the road while I was in Colorado. Another employee’s husband met the kitten, was the first to become bitten by kitten lust, so when a client brought in his dog for a vaccine and mentioned that the neighbor cat had 5 fluffy kittens needing homes, they went and got one, then the next day went back for 2 more. I came back to town and met the 4 new employee kittens, and my mom, having seen the kittens on Facebook, promptly asked whether the remaining 2 kittens were still available, and somehow now I have Hamish and my mom has the fluffy black and white kitten! In the space of one week we all just obtained a kitten… it’s a mystery!

Haha! They are irresistible, which is why I stay away from the shelter during kitten season. We always adopt the older ones who are harder to place, but I know that if I see kittens (especially any kitten resembling Hamish), I’ll be a total goner.

Yes, we generally get the older ones, too, although Zax was only 6 mos old when we got him for our Young Love. But we were thinking back, and haven’t had a very little kitten around the house (Hamish is 8 weeks old!) since 2007 when Hubby rescued Freeway from the concrete median on I-35. One forgets how comedic they are! It’s a lot of fun, and goofy, goofy play! =)

Lots of great news. Cute kitten, cute son, and cute you – in the sense that you have already procured tickets (or is “cute” in that meaning an Irishism?). Anyway, lovely to read an upbeat post like this. There’s much to be happy for and about. Hooray xx

LOL… I think the “cute” me works as more than an Irishism… sort of an ironic cute, but affectionately said? LOL Or that’s how I took it… =)

That’s cute in the meaning of “clever/shrewd/perceptive”. The full Irish term is “cute hoor” – which actually does not carry any sexual meaning, just means that someone is shrews 🙂

Ah, even better! LOL… we’ll see how “cute” I was, I suppose… if it turns out RA’s doing a different project, I fear my “cute hoor” status may be revoked!! lol

that kitten is t sweet for words!!! i couldn’t have resisted either! and the red hair is sooo cool! Love it 🙂
The holidays picture is beautiful and it sounds like you had a very well deserved break!
And it’s great to have good news isn’t it? I wish we could have much more advance notice about theater but hey ho, i’ll have to see if i can scrape the money together for a trip even though it would have to be a very very short one. And if there will be any tickets by then, but glad generally to know he is doing more theater even if i may not see it.

I’m sure there will be tickets, and I hope you can work it out- mine will be a short trip, as well- a weekend mini-marathon. =) I was surprised at how fast they were selling without even a casting announcement… power of the Armitage rumor, or is that just the way it goes for NYC theatre? I have no idea! I also have to wonder if Digital Theatre has any interest, after the hot-selling Crucible experience they had last year? Or do they just cover theatre in the U.K.?

it’s just UK i’m afraid. But the playwright is British so who knows maybe rights would be much less of an issue. Let’s see what happens. I’ll have to wait for exact play dates, as i don’t think i can assume schedules in NY are the same as London, ie 7-8 shows a week 🙂 Scraping together the money for the flight this year will be a massive problem as i’m in the middle of very costly local legal residency paperwork. At least if i don’t make it i can relax with the idea that he’s broken his dry spell with theater and we’ll not wait another 5 years for the next role. I confess i ever expected not to know much more in advance so i have to be realistic and try to tamper my anxiety early because the chances to make it are very slim for me. At least he’ll be finally doing a movie i am truly excited about 🙂 Not all bad.

I do hope you can make it happen! (I’m so glad I followed through with my idea to set up an RA savings account for the prospect of another Yael Farber/ RA collaboration… so I have the money already socked away, even if Yael isn’t involved!)

i hope so too, i should have done but i had to prioritize other things. I’ll aim for December in the hope flights might be cheaper in winter and also because i have to buy my own Xmas flight to parents first and that always kills summer budget. That needs to come first and then we’ll see what can be done. But it is good we know even now as it will mean cutting all theater and opera bookings here very slim. I’ll try :-). I just wanted to see a bit of NY when i finally got there as the only time i’ve been to the US i only had 1 day there but not in deep winter and certainly not now for a mini-vacation. A single dose of RA will have to do if achievable 😉 I’m just glad it’s not some Shakespeare as that would kill me LOL

Love the kitty, red mohawk, and lake reflection! Wow on beautiful Colorado! And I’m “love-ing” the possibility of a stateside Richard Armitage project that has enough advance notice that I might be able to see it. I’m checking the Amtrak schedules now. Ha!

Weekends are great news cycles for “announcements”. And with the tragedies in Florida over the weekend, my guess is Tuesday might be the earliest we’ll hear something.

Absolutely horrific. I hope the announcement comes soon, but yeah, it’s hard to care as much about even such potentially thrilling news, when there is such heartbreak in Orlando. And geez, another awful news story out of Orlando today, about the 2 year old child. I can’t even imagine.

I am just thrilled about the “end of the drought.” After 2015, we’ve had Alice finally and potentially now two projects we could see this year that I would be highly interested in. Balm for the fangirl’s soul.
