Giffing #RichardArmitage as Chop on a Sunday Afternoon

Chop6

The man has moves. And I love the scruffy look of him.

The disappeared and AMAZING new trailer for Urban and The Shed Crew is back! EDIT: it disappeared again! Never fear, Guillermina Rivas has kindly provided a link on her Mediafire page! (And Perry needed a Dancing GIF.) So, not wanting to take the chance that the trailer disappears again, I went ahead and Giffed the entire thing, or just about every clip that showed Richard Armitage in the role of Chop. Let me just say, the process of Giffing this made me incredibly eager for the movie, which looks like it will have a little bit of everything in it!

Chop1

I particularly like the glint of amusement in his eyes here.

Chop21

That is one tall, scruffy, sexy man…

Yeah, we have casual moments showing Chop sharing pizza with Urban and The Shed Crew, or walking the railroad tracks at night with the gang….

Chop13

Never thought I’d see that.

Getting his “kid” on in an inflatable jump house…

Chop2

Chop opens the door to Urban.

Chop12

Chop slams the door on Urban.

To glimpses of the ups and downs in Chop’s relationship with Urban….

Chop3

It appears he does like dogs!

To Chop driving along, laughing and loving on a dog. I haven’t read the book (though I have it and am probably about to delve in, having seen these images!) so I don’t know whose dog it is.

Chop4

Chop and Urban appear to be camping out under the stars…

Chop23

Chop and Urban appear to be playing a board game…

We have glimpses of Chop and Urban spending time with each other both indoors and outdoors….

Chop15

Oops!

And images of them definitely getting into some trouble together. (Love this one!)

Chop16

Richard can’t avoid a water scene, can he?

Chop17

That sure looks like the kid on the left was grinning…

Did I mention they seem to get into a lot of trouble together? Because there were a number of scenes that looked like trouble!

Chop5

Yeah, I’d not resist this look…

There were also a few moments that the Preoccupied in me just had to appreciate… with the moment shown here almost as sexy as the GIF at the top of the page of the dancing scene. =)

Chop7

What is that? A bespectacled cat?

Chop8

And what is that? Because it looks a lot like a joint….

It also looks like we may have a few moments of humor…

Chop14

Some kind of protest. And may I just say he looks fierce as hell here?

Along with plenty of drama and social commentary…

Chop9

Not having read the book, not sure who Chop has discovered on the floor being sick…

Chop10

Again, not sure what’s happening here, but it looks like she’s in trouble.

As well as moments of a more interpersonal drama…

Chop22

This makes me tear up even not knowing what’s happened.

And that includes a heart-wrenching moment when Chop breaks down and cries. This one breaks my heart.

Chop18

Chop gets bitch-slapped.

Chop19

Violence, yes… passion? Not sure…

Yes, plenty of drama, and more than one woman involved. I definitely need to read that book to get an idea of what’s going on here.

Chop20

Right at the end, only two frames, but heart-stopping.

And this look, on Chop’s face, just about did me in.

Looks like Urban and The Shed Crew will have all the elements, and I can’t wait until I have the opportunity to see it. I hope that will be sometime in 2015, but whatever the case, it looks like it will be worth the wait.

I love that you call it an “inflatable jump house”! I know it as a bouncy castle!! You must read the book. It’ll help understand the background to the film, especially the social issues. Love the gifs!

I plan to! I think it’s at the office, so I’ll probably grab it and start tomorrow. And yes, I just couldn’t think what it was we used to call those thingamabobs… LOL. Definitely didn’t call it an “inflatable jump house” when I was a kid. But I think maybe “Bounce House” or something like that, now that you mention it. =)

Fantastic gifs, thank you so much.
Can´t await watching the film, hopefully on the big screen.
It seems I have to reread the book, can´t remember some of the scenes.

Can’t hurt to reread the book, now that we have such lovely images in our head to be able to fully picture Chop!

I just fell in love by dance. By a hands off dance. There is more sex appeal in that hands off dance than than than … I can’t think of anything.

Yes, it’s a bit hard to think clearly after viewing that dance. I can only hope there’s an extended dance scene in the movie. *Swoons*

When I read the book I though, oh boy. Our boy RA is not gonna be too sexy in this little film. And then I saw the trailer yesterday. After that, I think it would be a Herculean task to make RA unsexy on film.

I hear you. Making him into a dwarf didn’t work. Serial killer with cleft palate scar didn’t work. Will anything work? =)

Read the book! (Don’t mean to shout. 😉) All those scenes are in there. Heart-wrenchingly told. As I watched the trailer (for the mumbleth time), I can recall all those moments from the book. I cannot wait to see this movie. Seeing some of the action after just seeing stills when it was being filmed is exciting. Hope we hear soon when the release schedule is!

I know… it’s just bumped up to the top of my “To Do” list. Prior to seeing this trailer, I thought I’d read “Summer”… now it’s going to have to be “Urban”. The release of a trailer is definitely a good sign that we’ll be hearing something soon, I hope.

I haven’t read the book either and wondered many of the things you wonder. Book is now ordered and on its way to me. 🙂

Aw, that makes the scene where he’s loving on the dog all the cuter… not even his own dog! I have heard the book is good, but sometimes I have to be in a certain mood to embark on a story that I know is going to address difficult issues. This trailer has provided me my motivation. =)

The book is excellent. It was hard for me to imagine him in the role but easy to see why he’d be interested in it. I just hope we get to see this at some point, somehow.

I think we’ll get to see it. I agree, a cinema release may be questionable, but surely we’ll get to see it one way or another. No matter how fractured the fandom may seem at the moment, I keep thinking back to the success we had when we collectively began to campaign for a DVD of The Crucible. We didn’t get exactly what we were asking for, in fact… we got something better in the form of cinema showings for everyone except N. America, and worldwide digital release. So if it looks like we need to campaign to get our hands on Urban, I have hopes that we can pull it off. =)

The success of the digital release of the Crucible, and the monies made, should wake “them” up as to how the Armitage Army supports their man ..The trailer is awesome,I keep my fingers and toes crossed for the film to be released in one way or another ….

Absolutely. We (the fandom) may not see eye to eye on a number of things, but I think it’s safe to say the vast majority is interested in getting our hands on this film. =) Especially after glimpsing its “charms” in the trailer.

Thanks! Sorry it took me so long to reply. So hoping we get to see this film. It looks to me, that besides the real drama, we will see Richard Armitage playing some of his :lightest” scenes since Cold Feet. I mean, how often does he laugh n screen or play around? He looks more stoned as Chop than he did as Thorin.

Oh, yes. Definitely a feast of new material with so much to look forward to! From everything I’d read I didn’t expect much light-hearted material, so this trailer was eye-opening. It looks like a good mix of angst and drama and some comedic moments to lighten it. Dying to find out how and when it will be released.
