I Wonder What Enhanced Physicality Would Look Like, #RichardArmitage

“I can’t tell you what it is, but it will definitely have a much more physical base to it. One of the things I love about theatre is the limitless way that you can kind of use the body, so we’re gonna push the physicality of that kind of theatre a little bit more.” – Richard Armitage on his plans for future stage collaboration with Yaël Farber (Source).

Wow. Hold on to your hats, ladies. Sounds like whatever the project is, we might be in for a wild ride! I mean, I thought his physicality as John Proctor was something to behold. If that’s not physicality, then what is?

jholland, you’re right. One wonders what that would be?? Anymore RA physicality on stage? Phew… you bet that will stretch us poor ladies to our limits!!! (Obviously not our man!) Right? 😀

And one must contemplate what the stage door would look like with Enhanced Physicality-RA… we thought it was a blur of motion before!

I’ll follow up on Servetus’ comment and add: King Lear on roller skates??
Whatever they’ve in mind it’s bound to be breathtaking

And just imagine what the left nipple might have in reserve…

OMG no!!!! It’s a project to give long-overdue attention to the *right* nipple!! That’s it!!!

Guylty! OMG that has to be it! Your brilliance is unsurpassed. We thought the left nipple had so much to offer… imagine the impact when he brings both nipples to the table!

*pleased grin* I am glad you think my suggestion makes sense. In the light of your most recent post – how would the right nipple express itself expressionistically?

Well, Guylty, now that you mention it… the costume must be paired down, so I’m imagining a very toga-style get-up that exposes the right nipple. Perhaps a bold swirl of nipple rouge. And, well… the acting style is supposedly the “ecstatic style”. And we all know what happens when a nipple becomes ecstatic…

The right nipple’s agent is still angry.

But perhaps 2016 or 2017 will be the year of the right nipple.

it’s possible now that he’s working with Farber again — apparently the right nipple did not accept the offer of hush money.

He better put in some work to get the right nipple the prominence it deserves!!

The agent has to know there is a line forming, hoping to be the next one hired to bring that right nipple out of its relative obscurity and into the light.

I would be happy with Oedipus, but I hope it’s something more unexpected than that. He would make an amazing Agamemnon or Ajax.

I can’t comment knowledgeably about any of the three… but whatever it is, it sounds like there will be a fresh twist of originality in the presentation. Of all pending projects, this does excite me the most. *Hurries off to check the balance on the RASF* (Richard Armitage Savings Fund!)
