Well, I Tried. Halloween, Here We Come…

We did a dry run for Halloween last evening. Tinkerbell, who half the time calls herself Twinkle Bell (Swisher-on-the-brain, Baby Girl?) has a Halloween party at her preschool this morning. Hubby signed us up to bring grapes, so I searched Pinterest and found the caterpillar grape idea. (Let me tell you, they looked a whole lot better on Pinterest. Those eyes just got droopier, and droopier, and droopier.) However, I think the preschool crowd will still enjoy them. Poor Voltron. The Defender of the Universe was crushed this morning, when he realized he has to wait until tomorrow before he can wear his costume to school.

Tinkerbell (a.k.a. Twinkle Bell) and Voltron, Defender of the Universe. And some Really Shoddy grape caterpillars for the party.

I love their enthusiasm on Halloween. It’s kind of contagious. Not looking forward to dealing with candy rationing, though. Lol

I felt very motherly, slaving over those. Hubby cracked me up. He was stuffing candy into disposable gloves to make creepy hand favors, then he efficiently made pipe cleaner spiders. He got a lot more done than I did… mom-crafts are not my specialty!

LOL. Yep, I have to face facts. My grape caterpillar project was a disaster. But the container came home empty and Twinkle Bell reported that she and her cohorts loved eating them right off the sticks. Easy pleasers! =)
